Manchester United are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, as the Red Devils look to revamp their attacking lineup ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old Brazilian forward, who has been a standout performer for Wolves this season with 16 goals and 4 assists across all competitions, is believed to be high on United’s target list. Cunha’s £62.5 million release clause is under serious consideration as United explore options to strengthen their frontline.

Cunha’s versatility, able to operate as a central striker, attacking midfielder or winger, makes him an ideal fit for United’s evolving tactical system. Despite signing a new contract with Wolves earlier this year, he is reportedly open to a move that would give him the opportunity to compete for major silverware.

Wolves are said to be understanding of Cunha’s ambitions, setting the stage for a potential summer departure. While Manchester United appear to be leading the race, they face competition from several Premier League rivals including Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, all of whom have expressed interest in the Brazilian international.

To fund Cunha’s transfer, United are considering a number of outgoing moves. Marcus Rashford, currently on loan at Aston Villa, could be sold permanently. Meanwhile, players such as Jadon Sancho, Antony, Casemiro and Rasmus Højlund are also being evaluated for potential sales to boost the club’s transfer budget.

With the summer window approaching, Manchester United’s pursuit of Matheus Cunha signals an aggressive push to revitalize their squad and challenge once again for top honors in English and European football.
